Please, given that the Nelson City Council has a debt of $50m plus, how do you envisage reducing this? Is it by selling off assets (ie Nelson Marina) controlling expenditure, removing council employees ability to authorise expenditure, or.....? Your reply please.
Also, your views on 'secret' meetings regarding public assets; as reported recently on the front page of the Nelson Mail.
Thanks and best wishes

Hi In short , no to selling the marina, yes to less secret meetings , and yes to better managing our debt. for more details on these please see our website miccio4mayor.co.nz cheers Aldo
I oppose selling Council owned assets.
I aim to improve Council efficiency and stop duplicating what the private sector is already doing - ie Conference Centre. The Rutherford Hotel is about to increase the size of its conference centre to become the largest in the region so why does Council need one.
I want to see meetings in public and in fact I want to see cameras running live on the Interent via the Council website to keep the Council honest even if I have to pay for them myself.
Often when Council matters are held in secret and we are suspicous - later we find up we had good reasons to be suspicous.
There are to many very questionable things going on behind closed doors - see http://www.angelsnz.net/vote-gary-watson_files/garywatson/Misc/HandsUp.htm
