What are you doing/prepared to do to stop the council from closing the Wainuiomata Community House which has provided support and service to the people of Wainuiomata for over 26 years?

I have meet with the Council staff on this matter who have assured me the House will not be closing to the people of Wainuiomata. They have said however it will not be run by the current managment team. A needs assesment is to be carried out to look at the best way forward now for the House.
I have spoken to officers who have assured me that once the current phase of the house\\\\\\\'s operation is concluded, it will be put to a use that will be of benefit to the Wainuiomata community. Processes have been in place for some time to ensure this happens.
\\\\r\\\\nIt would be against the interests of Council to either let its asset sit idle and attract vandalism, or for it to allow it to be used for private interests. Please be assured that the house will continue to provide services to the whole community, but the current impasse needs resolution first. I have been assured that the facility will be in use for the community on a continuing basis.
