I'm keen to know the views of all the Mount candidates on the reinstatement of the Sandbar and promotion of other events at the Mount.

Hi Anna Marie,
My opponents Wayne Moultrie and David Stewart voted to end the Sandbar at the Mount. I am not yet convinced that it\'s re-establishment would be a good idea due to it being on public land in the middle of a liquor ban area and also competing with rate paying businesses nearby.
Aside from that we do need more events in Tauranga for youth especially, more than that though we need good quality jobs from bigger employers with a real career path.

Yes, I\'m keen to have well-run events here in the Mount that promote our wonderful Mount in a positive light. The Mount is the jewel in our city\'s crown!
