What do you see as taking priority in this community, facilities for arts, or completing the WW Showgrounds Sports Complex.? This is assuming that the roading (i.e.bypass) is already considered a priority too.

Answer
Thank you Liz for your question.
I am unaware of the \'WW Showgrounds Sports Complex\' that you are refering to, however, may I be so bold as to refer you to the previous question asked \"How will we be heard? \"
Also, may I take the liberty to point out that ... it is not the role of your council representative to provide a view on what it is that the community needs, wants or desires. That was the role of the previous form of Governance. Now, we have a real chance at forging a new way ahead, with compassionate and empathetic leaders who are prepared to listen and become aware of their community.
Your Local board representatives are empowered to take the reins of your vision and carve out a path to acheiving those aspirations, while the governing body creates platforms/arenas for these ideas to be materialized. Working in tandem, these two creative forces are the engine room of the community. You are the driver!

PS. I see no reason why these two facilities can\'t be combined into a 21st Century Community Centre
Arts facilities are important, as are sports and recreation. I support proper planned provision for all these activities and believe they can and should be mutually accomodated and supported.
Finishing the Showgrounds project which has been stalled for too long.
