- Representation
Here in Selwyn Central, particularly Rolleston, a large chunk of the demographic are young families. This means that the Community Board needs a strong voice who understands family needs in our community. - Roading
The roads and footpaths need a lot of work. The actions taken need to be permanent, rather than short term solutions. - Transportation
We need better public transportation to and from Christchurch. Rail needs to be part of our future (along with other methods) rather than relying on a road network, which is not keeping pace with our community growth. - Reserves
We need more communication on what is happening with the reserves. There needs to be clear outcomes and information on what is happening. This has not always been the case so far. We also need the main reserves/playgrounds to have public toilets, especially the Rolleston Drive main playground.
