- Safety of our community.
Founder of Counties Victim Support in the 1990s gave way to learning and understanding as to how our communities, families and businesses are effected by criminals. We need to feel safe in our daily lives, criminal activity in and amongst where we live, work and play in intolerable. Working with the Police is a priority, supporting community initiatives such as crime patrols, neighbourhood support, and educating our young will be the challenge. - Privatisation of water.
Water is a natures given resource for all, it is not a comodity for sale or profit. We need water to survive and although we need to take care to ensure no diseases are spread etc, and accept there are some costs associated in order to distribute water throughout our community. The care of water should remain in the care of our councils. - Rate and user charges.
All residents over the age of 65 should receive a generous rebate. If they have privately owned property for 20 years or more, a return on their social investment is deserving. - Voters know what issues are important to them, it is not for the politicians to decide what they are.
- Changing something that has worked to something that may not; from local community involvement to large dictatorship style of local government. Will our sence of community be lost?

- Community
Make Manurewa a vibrant community that people lving can take pride in our suburb. - Land Rates, Water Rates
Listen to people's view and feed back the views to decision makers as to what the community wants. - Values in society
I believe the casue of many troubles with our young and old people is lack of values. The basic values such as respect for others, respect for parents, honesty, work ethics are missing in the young generation. If they are taught and embedded with the education, many of our crimes and prolems will not happen. - Pride in Auckland City
We live in a nice city and we should take pride in living in a world class city. - Progressive Attitude
We can make progress when we have positive outlook ourelves and then we can taek bold decisions to improve our future as a community.

- I will be standing for erradication of street prostitution in Manurewa. Lets clean up our town's reputation and put it on the map for being a pleasant place to drive through and stop for a coffee.
- I will be assisting in overhauling the Sale of Liquor Act and will use powers vested in me to regulate both on and off-licence liquor outlets in Manurewa. Lets change the culture of our town to be more into sport than liquor.
- Water bills - I will be supporting the policy that Watercare will be legally obliged to provide water at the lowest possible price.
