  1. Bob has reputation at Manukau City Council of being extremely prudent with the way ratepayers money is being spent, and will continue to do so when elected to the Auckland Council, he spends ratepayers money as he spends his own, with great care.Rates must continue to be affordable while at the same time allowing our city to grow & improve.
  2. Bob is concerned with the gridlock on Aucklands roads, and will support any improvements that make economic sense and will ease the traffic congestion.
Bob supports good public transport but believes that personal vehicle use will continue to grow and must be allowed for by planning for growth with good roading infrastructure.
  3. Auckland has a great network of active sports fields and indoor facilities, but many of these
need continued upgrading, and improving these within Manukau will be a major influence on his decision making on the Auckland Council
  4. Beautification and tidiness are at the heart of any city, and Bob will always support initiatives to improve the appearance of Manukau and Auckland. We must support the Police in catching graffitti culprits and also support law enforcement in keeping our city and it's residents safe.
  5. Auckland has a very good public health system
and Bob has been on the Counties Manukau District health Board for nine years during which time he has been able to assist in influencing the continued improvements. His personal focus has been trying to improve personal health care through better choice of diet for those with diabetes and coronary problems.
