A Coastie for 40 years. The Chairman of the Orewa Beach Reef Charitable Trust, Chairman of Strategy and Community Rodney District. Board member; Destination Orewa Beach and the Eastern Arts Council and previously on Estuary Arts board. Played representative basketball, represented NZ emerging athletes in Europe. Attending Orewa College; was awarded multiple sporting honours. 1983 was awarded a Rodney County Council Citizenship award. Aged 44; married, with two children attending Red Beach School; the family are actively involved in Orewa Surf life saving club. A professional in; Inbound Tourism Operations and Marketing, accomplished Hibiscus Coast councillor and currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Economic Development at the Institute of Public Policy. A family man, competitive and achieves results; is a pragmatic decision maker. Zane will bring vision, focus and drive with an unrelenting positive and progressive 'can do' attitude. He sees an exciting and vibrant future for the Hibiscus Coast.
