I have served on the Board for the past three years and believe I have helped made a difference − improved services at North Shore Hospital, expanded emergency services at Waitakere Hospital, greater accessibility to primary care services. I chair the Board's Hopsital Advisory Committee, am Trustee North Shore Hospital Foundation, have 28 years local and regional governance experience, understand the issues and how to get things done. I was previous Mayor Takapuna City, North shore City and Auckland Regional Councillor, Chancellor Auckland University of Technology, Chair Trustees NZ National Library, and National Animal Ethics Advisory Committee. I am a barrister, have served on variety of boards, including Earthquake Commission, Transit NZ, Building Research (BRANZ), Civil Defence, and was awarded Queen's Service Order for Public Services (QSO) in 2004. I will be a strong advocate for our North Shore, Waitakere, and Rodney communities and work with you and for you.
