The Ruapehu district has a unique character and beauty that grows on those people who visit and live within.

For that reason I believe good local government representation is essential to ensure an effective voice around the Regional Council table.

I believe that my past local government experience as Mayor and Horizons Regional Councilor will add value to the Council.

Issues such as rates, regional plans are of interest to many ratepayers; my experience in farming business equips me well in being open and fair in setting priorities and needs.

My involvement in community affairs has been over many years including managing a mental health facility, member of the Taumarunui Lions club, chair of the Waimarino Health Locality Planning Group.

My goal on the council would be to support and advocate better transport system for people unable to access hospital or medical services throughout the district.
