Hi, I'm Wayne Anderson a resident and ratepayer based in Tryphena, Great barrier Island. I would like to represent you on the GBI community board as an independent, agenda free board member. I've lived and worked on our island for over 15 years in a variety of jobs and I understand the challenges and rewards of living here, I am actively involved in the volunteer fire brigade and coastguard and recently got married. We are about to become part of the biggest council in NZ and I would like to be your voice in building relationships with this new council. My goals are to promote more opportunities for our young people and advocate for improved services for our seniors. I believe in encouraging local business growth using local resources and labour, and promoting support for our local community groups. I'm keen to work together for the good of our community.
