Kia ora koutou.
I’m standing for council because I’m passionate about our city and the potential of Takaro. My family has lived in Manawatu for generations and I have lived all my 44 years in Palmerston North.
I’m a Community Arts Palmerston North trustee and chair of Hineaute Hapu Trust. I’m also a member of our local Creative Communities New Zealand committee and a patron of the Arts Foundation. I’ve worked in museums, high schools and the arts sector as a researcher, historian, educator, consultant and artist-musician.
I’m an advocate for a caring and creative community. I have considerable experience in governance roles, in making funding decisions, and I believe I will be an effective councillor. I give thoughtful consideration to issues and I want to represent your views at the council table. I look forward to serving Takaro for the next three years as your voice in council.
