Team South takes a positive approach knowing there is a better way. People tell us that their biggest fears are that South Auckland interests will be lost in the supercity. They feel that Auckland never looked after Manurewa−Papakura, even treating us like 'poor cousins.' But those same people have told us that they want someone who will be powerful for Manurewa− Papakura, who will stand strongly for all of us. In the changes the supercity we will bring to our community, vote carefully. You know Waina Emery as a staunch Manurewa woman. She serves communities, young and old, all cultures, sports, communities, and schools. For her profile go to www.manurewa.org.nz. From chairperson of boards, to funder of projects, to marching for liquor law reforms she is a powerful voice for Manurewa. Make her your voice. www.TeamSouth.org.nz. Vote Waina Emery to the super city for the Manurewa − Papakura Ward.
Wiri Licensing Trust
As chair of the Wiri Licensing Trust I am asking for your vote for our trustees to progress the future and strategic plans of the Trust. We have unfinished business. Annually, the Trust returns funding to the Manukau and Manurewa communities. The highest return was this year with $1.8 million from the Trust and gaming foundations' profits. This was up from $200k three years ago and in a time recession as well. The trustees of Team Manurewa know how to do it and can prove it 1.8 million times. As chair of the Trust, I help to develop your infrastructures and empower your groups at activity, committee and trust levels. I endorse your passion in building strong, active, energetic and safe communities. Vote me back to the Trust, and the entire Team Manurewa. The trustees you can trust, and who I can work with moving forward.

Manurewa Local Board
Her children and grandchildren were born and schooled here. Waina cooked, transported, and, manned gala tables. She managed training and education programmes for youth and street kids, and taught others 'the three R's'. Her mentors were elders, priests, nuns, teachers, school principals, sports, cultural and community leaders. Waina brings a community focus and businesswomen approach to community projects especially with funding. Waina is hard working, always pushing for ordinary entitlements of ordinary folk. The community responds by putting her onto committees at local, community, regional and national levels. As chairperson they want her to guide members to work together. She marched on the streets, chanted your rights, and listened to the people. Her aroha is well known for Manurewa people, young, old, all ethnicities, cultures, schools, and sports. Keep her there for Manurewa. Vote her to the Manurewa Local Board and this time vote for her colleagues, Team Manurewa.
