Of Tuwharetoa and Ngati Awa descent, I live in Kawerau with my husband Nick. We have 3 daughters and 9 Grandchildren. I am currently involved in funding applications with several community groups. My background is in both Conventional and Complementary health care and Healing. Drawing on over 25 years experience as a Complementary health professional and consultant, I bring diversity and a holistic perspective to decision−making. In the public health sector I have contributed up to 15 years of Ambulance and first aid coverage. Having experience in Governance and Management roles, I have been a member of Kawerau Toastmasters for many years; which has enhanced my position as a Health Promoter. I would like to see the inequities and disparities of health addressed and completely eliminated, and also an end to poor maori health outcomes.

To the best of my knowledge and belief, I have no conflicts of interest with the Bay of Plenty District Health Board at the date of my notice of consent to being nominated as a candidate for membership for the board of the District Health Board, and I do not believe that any such conflicts of interest are likely to arise in future.
