I am a physiotherapist and have worked in both the private and public sectors over the past 27 years. 

Therefore, I am acutely aware of the ever increasing demands on the finite health dollar. 

Statistically we are living longer. However, it is no good living longer unless we also live better. 

As a society we need to focus on primary health care and preventive medicine to achieve this and limit costs on the health system into the future. 

I believe strongly in the concept of Aging in Place, but we must ensure that funding is directed to empower and resource elderly people to remain in their own homes for as long as this is the best place for them to be. 

Let's streamline processes, eliminate waste in our systems, adequately 

resource staff and get the job done!
