I am a lifelong local resident, a truly independent candidate, who will deliver strong representation with a common sense approach.
Happily married with three children, I have a track record of over 25 years involvement in West Auckland – with schools, churches, ratepayer groups, volunteers. I have actively lobbied council on library closures, parks development, youth events and provision of core services.
Trustee on Charitable Trusts 2004 -2008. Company Director of our IT Business, I have sat on various executive committees such as Te Atatu Resident and Ratepayers 2007- 2009, school working groups, Property Association groups. Business networking groups. My working background in based in the Banking and Legal Industries, with more recent involvement in Event Management .
Wise spending, consultation, fairness and practical solutions are important to me. I will work hard, listen carefully, challenge where needed. Importantly, I will promote family friendly policies that ensure we also care for our older folks and inspire our youth.
The local board’s role is to access the resources we need from Council. I will work with my fellow board members to bring the Henderson Massey area the best access to resources, and manage my responsibilities wisely . My representation on the board will bring fresh perspective.
