I am here to work for the greater community of Dunedin and I will work to create a stable local economy based on local skills, local people and local production.

As a city councilor I will consult, listen and act and I will regularly seek community input into all major issues.

I believe in sensible decision making and transparency.

I will not support any ‘fire-sale’ of city assets nor further burden ratepayers.

I believe water is a basic necessity and I will not support turning our water into a company.

I will work to preserve our city’s unique historic and cultural heritage to enhance out towns point of difference.

Uncertain economic times and dynamic climate changes require a new way of thinking.   Creating a sustainable local economy is the key to our survival.

I will encourage creative solutions that support our growth.

Education, Tourism, Technology, Art, Music, and the development of credited Historic Precincts are all part of our future vibrancy as a town.

The fore-fathers of Dunedin constructed our town and we are proud of what they have built.   We now have the opportunity to bring our council into balance and elect also the inclusive and compassionate voice.   A voice which takes consideration of people, the environment, our business and industry, our progress, in a caring and sustainable way thereby returning a sense of prosperity to all in the community.  I can work co-operatively to stitch together the cross sections of society for the greater good of Dunedin.

We have been given the opportunity to elect a more balanced council that carries the broader voice of the citizens of Dunedin.   Vote a balance in council that works for both business and community interests.   Please include me in your vote for council.   Vote affirmatively.  Vote Tracey Crampton Smith.
