Salamasina/Tim currently runs his own accounting firm and is also completing a Law degree (LLB) at University of Auckland with the aim of specializing in Tax, and Commercial Law. Tim has a New Zealand Diploma in Business Studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree (BBS), majoring in Accounting. He followed this with a Master Degree in Taxation from University of Auckland in 2003. With 23 years' service with the IRD, Tim has attained a comprehensive working knowledge of the application of the New Zealand tax legislation. It is a matter of considerable personal pride for Tim that he has achieved academically, and he considers it his responsibility to be a role model for the Pacific Island community to show young people what can be achieved through individual effort.
