Sue Christie has been a resident of Pakuranga for the last 18 years and believes her background as a chartered accountant would be of considerable value to the new Howick Local Board, given the Board's added financial responsibilities. She has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and managed AGMARDT, a Crown Trust, for 12 years. This role involved preparation of budgets, accounts and annual report for submission to the Minister of Agriculture. She also managed the grants and education programmes and liaised with Government departments, investment advisers, universities and agricultural organisations. Sue would represent residents' views on all local issues including containment of rates, community safety and improvements to traffic congestion and public transport. Also, being an enthusiastic walker and swimmer, she is keen to preserve the quality of the beautiful environment that we all enjoy in this area. Sue would welcome the opportunity to be your voice on the Board.
