I am pleased to offer myself for re-election to the Otago Regional Council. I grew up on the Taieri and am now a sheep and beef farmer at Milton. It is essential that ORC continues to plan and manage Otago's resources so generations to come are able to enjoy our environment and have opportunities to grow and develop their businesses as we have. I support the Otago Regional Council's effects based approach to the management of Otago's water resources. Encouraging communities to self manage with the least red tape is the most cost effective way to manage our resources. My community involvement includes Tokomairiro A&P Society, Regional TB Free Committee, Clutha Agricultural Development Board and a Kellogg's Rural Scholar. I believe I have the skills and experience to be an effective councillor on your behalf and respectfully seek your vote.
