Stephan moved to Kaikoura in 2005 with his wife Sarah and three boys Jack, Harry and William to project manage the development of Ocean Ridge. 

Stephan has since established their family accommodation business (The Fairways) to the point where a full time manager is sustainable. As a land surveyor he brings over 20 years working with and along side local body Councils across New Zealand and brings a unique ability to facilitate vision. 

As a businessman and parent, Stephan currently serves on several boards and community entities and has a high level of capacity and passion that drives him. His proven skills in project management, town planning and ability to relate to all sectors of the community has provided a solid platform and wealth of experience well suited to Kaikoura's Mayoral demands.
