I am 37 years old, married to Vicky and have two boys Samuel (15) and Zane (12) . I was born, raised and educated in New Plymouth.

I have enjoyed my first term on council, stood my ground and put my words into action.Prime examples are the boy racer bylaw and freeing up speaking rights for the public at council meetings, I’m not afraid to speak out and I will continue to be a voice for the people of the New Plymouth district .

We need to keep control of council spending. This is possible without stopping progress. I have my feet firmly on the ground with a good business background.I am accessible and approachable. It’s time to look forward not backwards and it’s time a for continued fresh perspective. Transparency, accountability and common sense prevail. Your vote for Shaun Biesiek has not and will not be wasted.

IF YOU WANT A HARD WORKING "PROVEN" DEDICATED COUNCILLOR who will
Fight to control spending and listen to you then VOTE BIESIEK

Top 5 Issues

Personal Profile

I am a self employed business man, happily married to Vicky, We have two boys Samuel and Zane.

Three years ago I first stood for NPDC after spending a considerable amount of time attending all the meetings. I found watching the council over the 12 month period gave me insight and knowledge that was useful from the first triennial meeting after I was elected.

At age 37 I am the youngest councillor this term and I believe this has been an advantage and also I have proven we can make a difference.

The past 3 years I have learnt a lot I have also grown a lot and I look forward to standing and being able to represent you again for the next 3 years.
I dont just believe in talk but also in action and I have been successful in my first term with the likes of the Bell Block boy racer bylaw, the altering of standing orders to allow the public to speak at any council meeting on what issues they like not just those on the agenda.
I have worked hard to keep rates under control, I have attended every meeting I can and in doing so have the highest attendance record this term.

I look forward to re-election and will continue to strive for

TRANSPARENCY
ACCOUNTABILTY
DEDICTAION
AN AFFORDABLE APPROACH TO DECISION MAKING
And I will continue with a FRESH PERSPECTIVE and COMMON SENSE
