I live with my family in Opunake. I teach at Opunake High School. Warren, my husband, is a farm consultant and two of our sons attend Opunake High School. We live in Opunake by choice. 

My community involvements are dominated by schooling and sport interests, and church. 

I am standing for a third term on the Egmont Plains Community Board. The past two terms have developed my understanding of process and my confidence to help drive the future of the Egmont Plains ward. 

I believe strongly in the positive future of our area, and want to be part of that. With vision, we can have a community that enables all to enjoy life here, and empowers our young to become contributing citizens. The community needs a voice in its future through motivated representation, and people who listen with integrity, speak with vision and have confidence in each other.
