Shane Cundy has recently started a new business − Hanmer Apartments. He is new to the area (having returned from overseas after 19 years) and offers fresh ideas and enthusiasm for the development of the Hanmer Ward. 

He has a background in Treasury and Finance, most recently, being the asset and liability manager of 8 years, for an Australian bank with a balance sheet of over $400bn. 

His decision to live in Hanmer Springs is fuelled by his strong belief for the diverse and exciting future of the Hanmer Ward. He would like to see his 2 daughters grow up and stay within the region rather than move out once old enough. 

The ward as a whole needs and deserves fair representation by its community board directly to local government in a transparent process. It also deserves action taken and results gained in a timely manner.
