My name is Shabbir Wasiullah. I am standing as an independent candidate in the community board elections. My passion is well−being and service to people and community. I am an economics graduate. I have worked at Fletcher Building for 9 years. I have strong operational, administration and project skills and proven ability to buld strong stategic relationships with people, community and organisations. I have been involved in community projects from early childhood like camps for blood donations and helping the deaf. I am currently a board member of the Ethnic Community Board for Manukau Police, NZ Rationalist Society, and local ethnic societies. I am an active supporter of 'Women & Child Expo', 'It's Not O.K' campaign and Volunteer Patrol−Groups (Maori Wardens). My wife works at the Salvation Army as a counsellor. I am a proud father of 3 kids. I will work hard towards better future for Otara.
