Sandy resides in the heart of the Whau ward. She attended Owairaka Primary, then Avondale College. Her extended family has lived in the ward for 20 years. She is married with three adult children and two delightful grandchildren; a multi racial family. She brings to this board, nine years of experience from the old New Lynn ward, six years as Deputy Chair. As a Marriage Celebrant, JP and as a member of the Portage Licensing Trust she is involved with many individuals and groups in the local community. She gives an undertaking to listen to people's concerns, and work hard making sure that the new responsibilities given to the local Boards are to the benefit of all within the ward.
