Life long association with Eastern Ward. Brought up in

Hataitai, Russell family home was Seatoun. I now live

in Kilbirnie.

Careers: Nursing. Travelled overseas where I

developed business skills. Eleven years Central

Government Administration. I set up and managed a

Rental and Property Management Business.

1994 became active in the community. Attending council meetings,

writing submissions and attending resource consent hearings about

developments in the eastern suburbs.

I read the weekly council meeting minutes, submissions and resource

consent applications of the ward at the library.

Attend council meetings to observe topics of interest. April 2010

attended first Residents Association Conference at Parliament.

Workshops:-understanding the council, connect better with community,

understanding the law and citizen rights.

Hobbies: Reading, Research, Swimming, Bridge, Community Newspapers.

Memeber of Probus, Grey Power, Kilbirnie Lyall Bay Residents and

Ratepayers Association.

Issues: town Centre Development, Parking Policy, Street Cleaning,

Community Facilities.
