In seeking re−election as Mayor, I acknowledge the privilege and trust you placed in me over the last three years.

With a like−minded council, I know I can build on the achievements I pledged and began in 2007−achieving affordable rates by prioritising essential needs over wants.

Waimakariri rate rises across the district have averaged around 4% since I became Mayor−not the 15% plus inherited from the previous council.

Our current 10 year Plan proposes modest rate rises that in 2019−20 will be among the lowest across all NZ councils − this without compromising services.

My vision and leadership skills were honed over 40 years in large project consulting work.

My prudent leadership in the 2008 council services review, lead to significant savings for the district.

My Mayoralty is about real leadership, real integrity and efficiencies; not publicity for personal or social gain.

I ask for your vote again.
