Leadership is about getting value for money, not just spending money.

To find its city heart, Hamilton must first get back to basics.

I'll bring to the job nine valuable years of councillor experience.

Right now I know businesses, homeowners, tenants and superannuitants need to budget with confidence and want transparent decision making.

I pledge to keep rates down; address CBD parking; investigate a fairer rating system and consider a rating differential to incentivise city redevelopment.

I would extend Council's buy−local policy so that our shops and businesses are kept working.

Re−elect Roger Hennebry. 

Being your councillor I have enjoyed meeting many of you and working on your behalf. 

Ratepayers face a council debt of $421 million this year, rising to $700 milllion by 2018/19. This must be addressed. 

I have formed a team of like−minded professionals, under the banner of Rates Control. Together we are committed to keeping rates down and bringing reality into decision making. 

Our fresh new approach to accountability and transparency includes no more closed door meetings. 

We want Hamilton to progress and prosper at an affordable pace for young families, businesses, renters and superannuitants, making every rates dollar count. 

It's important we get it right, especially in these tight economic times. 

I have run a successful business for 35 years, have experience on all major council committees, with a special interest in finance and audit and city development.
