I am a current member of the Eden Albert Community Board; web developer, expectant mother, student, and author, involved with many community organisations. 'Think Globally, Act Locally' is my guiding principle. I support the community orchard in Nixon Park, community garden projects and growing fruit trees in our neighbourhood streets. We must protect the environment with effective investment in infrastructure such as public transport, recycling systems and drainage. As a local board member I will promote fair water and rates charges. I will encourage community health and wellbeing through the enhancement of our public parks and open spaces, and the promotion of arts and artists. Projects such as the restoration of a local church in Mt Eden and giving it new life as a community facility are an important part in building strong and resilient communities for the future.
