Since retiring and moving to Pauanui in 2007 I have become involved in local body Politics, challenging the introduction of Trailer Boat Charges. During the last 20 years of my career I held senior management roles in the private sector, the last 10 years as General Manager of a company that provided services to Major Corporations as well as Central and Local Government. I believe this experience has provided me with the necessary skills required to try and improve our economic well−being. I believe each Community needs fair, equitable service and facilities that are managed efficiently and effectively. My style of representation is to understand the issues, obtain the facts and act as an advocate on behalf of the Community. I have been married to my wife Carol for 37 years and have two children and two grandchildren. My other interest includes fishing, rugby, squash, and recently golf.
