I am extremely passionate about the core of the Hurunui and its people. Born and raised on a farm, my goal is to preserve the natural beauty, manage expectations of the rural community, and promote the sustainable development of tourism. 

Having already served the community in various ways for the past 40 years as part of the Police force, St Johns Ambulance and as a Doctor of Chiropractic Health, I feel that a step into council would be a natural one, and another way I can support the people of the Hurunui District. Our teamwork will promote ethical values and a sense of unity essential to a destination growing in popularity. 

As a father I believe the central pillar of decision making should be the love and welfare of our children and the legacy we leave them and the generations to follow.
