MLT Board member for 7 years

 

The concept of the Trust, owned by the eligible voters of the Trust District has always appealed to me. 54 years of prudent management of the Trust has built up a substantial asset base, which is debt free, allowing surplus funds to be distributed to individuals, projects and functions.

 

The hospitality industry is going through a difficult period and it is very important that elected board members give management and staff every support possible.

 

I believe my employment background of 34 years at NZ Paper Mills – 16 years as Personnel Manager and 8 years as General Manager, gives me a good understanding of business practice and people.

 

I have served on several committees over the years involving education, health, sport Justice of the Peace and the museum trust.
