My name is Rex McIntosh, H.Dip.Tchg, B.Ed. I have been a school teacher at Pakuranga College as head of the drama department for 9 years and I resigned from full time teaching to further my professional acting career on television, stage and film. I have continued as a relief teacher at Pakuranga College and St Kentigern College for the past 5 years, so I haven't really left teaching. As a teacher of over 40 years, I am always concerned for the welfare of our youth and will do all I can to offer support and help open up opportunities, both professional and recreational for our young people. I wish to tackle the unfair wastewater disposal rating system, the unequal housing rates system and environmental issues and concerns. I will to do my best to keep our multicultural town: East Auckland a great, friendly and hospitable place to live.
