You may not know me, but your children might. I volunteer in a community youth programme in Riccarton called The Furnace, on a Friday night. I have a real heart for seeing young people reach their potential and overcome challenging circumstances.
I used to think politicians who changed their policies all the time were dishonest. But now I realise its not about changing your mind or opinion, its about addressing what is best for the community and asking people what they think and what matters to them. I believe that by bridging the gaps between the young people and the older generations we can build respect and confidence on both sides, and improve relationships within the community.
I am committed to getting to know the people in our community and helping to break the cycles of poverty, abuse and addiction regardless of whether or not I am elected. The community board has a big role to play in shaping the direction and the culture we want to set for now and the future, and I would be honoured to represent the Riccarton/Wigram ward.

Personal Profile
I am 24 years old and am currently working in the Automotive industry as an Automotive Refinisher. I grew up in the small marae village of Onuku on Banks Peninsula. In my spare time I love to go out on the dirt bikes, do some fishing, or spend time with family and friends.
I have been volunteering in the Riccarton/Wigram community for 2 years now in a community youth programme. In the time I have been a part of the programme I have seen positive changes in the lives of the young people. I believe it just reinforces the importance of working together within a community to achieve a greater goal. In my role I have met some great kids and even had the opportunity to meet many of their families too which has been a really rewarding experience.
I invite any questions, comments or enquiries from anyone within the community.
