Wanganui bred and schooled. I served 34years in the NZ Fire Service. Held senior officer rank for 26years. Served 6years as Director of Planning and Operations for NZ Fire Service Commission. Responsibilities: Nationally, corporate, business, operational planning and auditing operational, financial and business efficiency with oversight of a $170 million budget. I served on a National Casino Control Authority and the Whanganui District Hospital Board. I am a Justice of the Peace and a Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (England). I am currently a Wanganui City Councillor (2nd term). I also chair Wanganui Hospice and am a committee member of a many Wanganui community organisations. I have been a Business owner. My interest is to ensure the efficient and effective management of our district without imposing a huge burden on ratepayers and future generations. Judge me by what I've done not by what people promise to do.
