Upon election, my priority is to communicate, engage with, and listen to what the needs of our Community are now and in future.
My community interests have been: playing and coaching sports, Committees, Branch Chair,Conference delegate, and Club Captain.
My background: Science degree (Canterbury University), 23 years teaching in N.Z. (Secondary School, Deputy Principal), (Foreign Affairs−Education), Politics (past Candidate), Currently Business Owner/Employer, member of Botany Flatbush Residents' Association.
Botany community has a good mix of about 43,000 people − let's celebrate it. Our interests, our concerns − Our Local Voice must go to Auckland Council; we need fast local decisions for local issues; Police must have resources to keep our people and streets safe; Plans to beautify our area; Community Facilities; Support Businesses, Education; Welcome new
settlers; Support cost effective Council services to keep rates under control.
