I'm Poutoa Papali'i, married with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. My passion for Otara is founded on my upbringing and extensive experience and knowledge of this community. I have lived in Otara for 48 years. I am a committed community worker and tireless advocate for a safer and better Otara. I currently sit on two school boards and various other community boards ie Te Puke Otara Inc, United Otara Fleamarket and the Otara Community Law Centre. I am an active and dedicated campaigner for Safer Communites through my work with Neighbourhood Support and Alcohol Action projects in this community. I have a strong interest in developing our young leaders of tomorrow as demonstrated with my involvement with the Dawson Youth Action Group. My immense knowledge, experience and skills will enable me to achieve significant and positive outcomes for this community.
