City Councillor since 1986 − currently Deputy Mayor. 

Life Member − Hospice Waikato. 

Waikato District Health Board member − 6 years. 

I have enjoyed being part of a stable, committed Council that continues to make sound and reasoned decisions for the community. 

Through Council's steady and effective progress, the city has gained respect from both central government and our peers as a leader in local government. 

With my colleagues we have worked hard to create the strategic foundations to ensure a solid future for Hamilton and its environs. 

I seek your support again to allow me to continue furthering Hamilton's development as one of New Zealand's foremost cities, during a time which calls for careful management of our city's wellbeing. 

We need to build on Hamilton's growing maturity; relish and promote our successes; manage sustainable growth and celebrate our diverse community. 

My passion for Hamilton's community continues unabated.
