Dear Voter.....
I have thought long and hard about standing for Mayor the responsibility, challenges ahead and effect on my family. Having ticked them all off, I am absolutely fizzing to get in there and lead a strong, united Council forward.
It has been a great honour to represent you as a Councillor and now I am ready to be your Mayor. I will be visible, honest, and enthusiastic and work extra hard to gain great results.
Our city deserves the best!

Personal Profile
Philippa is a current Wanganui District Councillor and Whanganui District Health Board member. She also runs a successful Primary Health Care Practice, Hogan Osteo Plus with husband Shaun and raises 2 children, Grace aged 10 and Blake, 8. With Philippa's grandfather being the late Labour Leader Norman Kirk's right-hand man and sister Erin being a former Christchurch District Councillor it is not surprising her road lead to local body politics. Having served her local government and public service apprenticeships she now seeks the mayoral role.
Although her sporting past includes some formidable achievements including 3 World titles and 2 Halberg New Zealand Sports Person of the Year Awards her current passion is to serve the community and lead a united Council. She feels her relative youth, hard work and an honest approach will assist her in obtaining this new goal.
