Born in Stratford in 1954 educated at Pembroke Road School and Stratford High School then gaining "honors with distinction" at the local billiard room, followed by twenty five years of operating businesses and working in Stratford makes me local enough and qualified to put my name forward as a candidate for the Stratford District Council.

I am not a yes man, will stand up for anything fair and equitable and with two and a half years as a board member of the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce behind me, have a very good understanding of the politics that go on behind the scenes.

I am prepared to listen and learn in order to deliver the best for the region. A father of five and with the support of my wife Alie, part owner of Devon Sweets, I feel that my contribution will be of value to the people of Stratford.
