After two terms on the Community Board, the last as Chair, I am standing again as I feel I now have the experience and knowledge of how the TCDC works. As a Community Board we do have some powers and the completion of the main street upgrade and the Barbara Avenue extension have been two projects that have happened in the last 6 years. We are lucky to have Sam Marshall as our area manager as his relationship with the Board plus his work ethic have enabled us finish these projects under time and under budget. There are projects I want to further in the coming term − dust sealing on the Wentworth Valley Road, the Moanaanu walkway, and the completion of the solution regarding the hall noise problem by applying for a specific number of events exceeding the present limits.
