After travelling extensively throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australia, I’ve had the good fortune to settle in Wairoa, a township not unlike Thames where I spent my childhood years.
I have worked throughout the UK and Australia mostly in the horticultural field, truck driving and mining in Queensland.
In earlier years I worked for New Zealand Railways. More recently I worked six years at Sky City Casino and a similar tenure for the NZ Immigration Service at the Mangere Detention Centre in South Auckland.
I’ve also been involved in the field of disability and mental health having a diploma in Supportive Employment for the Disabled.
I’m currently serving as a Probation Officer with the Department of Corrections.
I stand for Councillor with the aim of putting as much into the township as I can and supporting those core values that the good folk of this town embrace.
