I'm a sitting Eden Albert board member, living in Mt Albert for 23 years. Married for 26 years with 2 children, in work and life, I'm a person who gets things done. Talk is cheap, action counts. Working in sales I'm in our communities daily, seeing what needs to be done. I'm proud of our local communities and all they offer, however I don't believe we get the focus we deserve from politically driven representatives. We need strong, safe, caring, family focused communities. We need cared for and clean graffiti free streets, better facilities in and around our parks and reserves. Our villages need help to bring their heart's back, security and petty crime need addressing and spending needs good controls. I will commit 100% to this important role and be accessible to all. Strong communities make a strong proud city. Vote Focus Local and we'll make your community count.

Personal Profile

As the only current member seeking re election in the Owairaka subdivision, of the Albert-Eden Board, Pauline will bring her experience of the past three years to the new local board and will continue to push those projects started by the present board. Pauline also currently serves as a trustee of the Mt Albert Aquatic centre, acts as Liaison with the local community constable and has recently championed the creation of a Business & Community groups Assn in the Mt Albert village.

Pauline has lived in the Mt Albert area for over 23 years and has always been a committed and passionate member of her community. Chairing and serving on various committees, networking groups and involved in fundraising efforts for local Plunket’s for over 9 years, Pauline is a committed and hardworking member of her community. Pauline has being married to husband John for 26 years and has two children 20 and 16; their son attends Mt Albert Grammar.

Through Pauline’s varied roles in Banking, Recruitment and Sales she has spent most of her life assisting people in one form or another and a continued position on the new local board would be a natural step in her efforts to see our communities grow and prosper for all. Her sense of humour and ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels and across parties has served her well in her current community board and committee roles.

Pauline believes that our local communities have a lot to offer and be proud of, but have for the most part being sorely let down by many of its elected representatives. She feels communities don’t get the focus they deserve from some politically driven parties who seem to forget the impact local issues have on their communities for the betterment of their personal and political agendas. Pauline listens to her community and seeks to get their wants heard and met as loudly as possible.

We all want and should have strong, safe, caring, family focused communities. Only through this foundation can we have a city. We should have clean, graffiti free streets, the best parks and reserves by international standards. Our town centre’s need assistance and funding to put the heart’s back into them. Security and petty crime need addressing on a local and city wide scale. Strong oversight on spending, rate collection and council procedures all need attention.

Pauline is a person who you can turn to get things done. She will commit 100% to her role on the Local board and be accessible to all. She will ask the hard questions on your behalf and ensure that we get the answer and a satisfactory win/win result at the end of it.

Only through a committed and passionate approach will we make Auckland a truly great super city that all of New Zealand can be proud of.
