My name is Paul Eagle and I am a Labour Party candidate for Wellington City's Southern Ward at this year's local government elections.
Putting communities first will be my number one priority as your representative on council. I’ll provide fresh leadership that reflects our community’s views and seek to open an office in the ward so we can talk face-to-face. I’ll work to retain our libraries, community centres and festivals and get artificial sportsfields for our future champions. I’ll protect the south coast and get rid of the rubbish to keep our streets clean. I'll work with you to sort out our parking issues and seek a decent transport network. I’ll fight to save our water from privatisation and find better ways to conserve it. I have a background in community and economic development and understand how council works. I'll work with you so we know what really matters most and ensure rates are fair and affordable. Together, we'll put the ‘people’ focus back into council and have a voice.
