Hi, I'm Paul Douglas. Vote for me because I'm a "Good Guy", with a Surveying/Engineering/Offshore background. I'm standing for improvements to Hazard Reduction, Land/Property, Planning. I have intentions: to be involved in working with relevant authorities for the City's benefit. I'd look at the separation of Otago University pedestrian traffic from roading traffic to improve flow and safety, Campus Planning, Tsunami Protection for South Dunedin Properties, Foreshore Management + Ownership, Maintenance+Improvement of Infrastructure, Records and Research. Also: I'd support: keeping the old Carisbrook for sports, Developing Bathgate into Residential with Older Persons Care facilities, developing Dunedin's infrastructure for offshore Oil/Gas Exploration, Improvements to Parks, including skateboard parks. I think Dunedin City Council should help funding the Dunedin Sound, Arts, Theatre, Orchestra, Keeping Dunedin "a Fun place". Conflicts of Interest

I have the following current conflicts of interest with the Southern District Health Board: (a) My sister works for a health provider in Dunedin (b) I have had artworks in Southern District Health Board hospitals which may be published and/or sold in the future (c) In 2007 I had a dispute tribunal hearing with the ODHB which was resolved and subject to a confidentiality agreement 18/7/2007 (d) To the best of my knowledge and belief, I have no other conflicts of interest with the Southern DHB at the date of my notice of consent to being nominated as a candidate for membership of the board of the Southern DHB. I do not believe that any conflicts of interest are likely to arise in future, other than the continuation of the conflicts of interest stated above.
