My name is Olivier Lequeux. I am forty three and the father of three children. Of French descent, I have lived in Dunedin for fifteen years. I actively participate in the Business, Cultural and Social aspects of our vibrant city. I strongly believe that we can make a difference when we work together. I have a simple policy, that when elected, the Council will: Freeze Rates for the next three years. As we face uncertain times due to the global financial crisis, it is my strong belief that elected council owes Dunedin residents fiscal responsibility and accountability, openness and honesty. I promise to lead a Council that will not hide behind closed doors. I seek to develop and enhance partnerships with local Businesses, Otago University, Polytechnic, as well promoting all aspects of Dunedin's uniqueness; its Academic vitality, its Arts, Environment and Tourism cultures.
