I live in Waitakere City where I have worked with many community organisations focused on preventing family/whanau/sexual violence/abuse. I have strong community and business expertise, knowledge and a wide range of skills. I have a Diploma in Business and Master of Business Management form Auckland University. I am affiliated to Tu Wahine Trust, an organisation that works with Women and Children who have been affected by violence and abuse. If elected, I will focus on the following areas: Improving Children's health as this is critical to our future; Promote community grass roots programmes that focus on the health, lifestyle and family/whanau self management; Support programmes that intervene in the life cycle of a health problem; Reduce family/whanau/sexual violence/abuse, drug and alcohol abuse in our community; Ensure we have good hospital services when we need them; Prudent and careful use of our health funding
