I have substantial experience in both local and central government, having served 6 years on the Mercury Bay Community Board, with a previous 6 years in the Hauraki District and 3 years as the Member of Parliament for Coromandel. I know I have the experience to work with Council, can bring established networks and will hit the ground running with other elected members. My business background covers a wide range, from affordable housing for the elderly, to medium/large construction projects. I also spent a number of years mentoring small/medium companies through financial and management difficulties. The 'One peninsula, diverse communities' council motto, is more pertinent today than ever, With the changes signalled by central government, it is essential for communities to work together, so I offer positive leadership skills and a great desire to work with the Council for the betterment of our district, our peninsula.
