Why is Lake Horowhenua STILL being used as a massive drain? As a founding member of the recently formed ‘Lake Steering Committee’, I have been shown some of the more easily fixable pollution inflows into the lake – and clearly the responsibility lies with Horizons to clean up its own act!

I have the skills, the passion and the time. I have a scientific background and a long history fighting environmental issues. Past regimes have put environmental and tourism issues in the “too hard basket”. It’s time to wake up to our potential, confront the issues and stop the pollution.
